Best Compliment Ever

My mom finished reading my latest novel and her comment was that at times she forgot she was reading a novel written by her child because she got so into the story.

How awesome is that?

Of course, I depend on her for a highly critical edit that catches every single typo I make and she said at some point she stopped noting errors because she wanted to finish. But I don’t care.

My mom really liked my novel!  (And she is not the type to just say that to make you feel good, either.)

(And since she’s one of those mega-reader types that propelled Twilight and Hunger Games to the top of the bestseller lists that also gives me hope that this one could have some strong commercial appeal…So, yay.  Now if I could just write a query letter to save my life.  Ah well.  All things in good time.)

No link sharing today because it’s 2:45 and I have yet to write anything and the pup will be in here leaning against the wall staring me down until I feed her in about an hour and a half.
