The Things You Start to Believe In As a Writer

Emmonds Beach 2 - Copy (640x480)I read somewhere that starting tomorrow Jupiter will be in Cancer and that this is supposed to usher in a very auspicious time for me.  Also, that publishing things is especially well-favored.

Now, keep in mind that my horoscope generally thinks all sorts of things are happening in my life that are most definitely not happening.  Promotions, firings, new love interests, old flames.

Yeah, no, not so much.

But you better believe that I’m still ready to go along with this whole idea that starting tomorrow things will be all bright and sunny as far as my writing goes.  Although, wherever I read this it also told me to be careful and not get too arrogant with all that success that’s coming my way.

So, hey, when my novel suddenly sells at auction for six figures and my short story submissions all sell to the big name pro markets, y’all be sure to keep me humble, all right?

Haha.  (Hey, if it keeps me writing and submitting for one more day, I’ll take it…)

(Don’t ask about the picture.  It was from my recent trip and has absolutely nothing to do with this post.  I just kinda liked it today for whatever reason.)

  1. Horoscopes are always right for somebody somewhere.

Thing is, if there was any truth to them at all, the stars have all shifted in the sky and the current positions render and ‘reading’ meaningless. Sorry to drop some cold psychology water on proceedings.

But have a great day anyway 🙂
