Short and sweet

“When the story’s good, the last thing you notice is a comma.” – Jennifer Stuart

I pulled this up from the comments from a few days ago.  I liked it so much, I had to share.

I spent most of yesterday navigating one lane roads, some of which were gravel (always fun), and having a bit of a standoff with a baby cow.  (I didn’t want to run it over and it wanted to keep pace with my car after blocking my lane and forcing me to stop.)  I then drank copious amounts of beer and ate lots of hearty, unhealthy food.

Which is my way of saying this is it for today.  Go write!  And don’t worry about commas or rules.  Just tell the story you need to tell.  (And if everyone hates it, THEN try to figure out where you went wrong.  Actually, if everyone hates it you might’ve done something right.  If everyone reads it and says, “meh,” then worry.)
