Short and sweet

I don’t have much to say today.  I split my novel up and now I have two 40,000 word novels to flesh out again.  Exciting thing is that I think this will make both stories better and I get to start the one character’s story much earlier which makes it much more interesting.  (I hope, I think.  We’ll see when I’ve fleshed it out.)

In the meantime, I added a few new pages to the blog in case anyone is bored and trying not to write.  (Although your time is probably better spent writing…)

They are:

Deep Thoughts Posts: These are my non-writing related posts, where I occasionally decide to pontificate about life in general.  I usually tie it back to writing in some way, but it’s me working my way through bigger issues.  (And let’s hope no one is really sensitive about my use of Deep Thoughts…)

Writing Related: These are some of the posts about writing issues.  So, the word usage post from yesterday is there, the query letter tips from the writers’ conference I went to, plus my random thoughts on issues like naming characters and how much description to use and the fact that writers should read.  I also put all four of the depression posts there.

I still need to pretty up the writing related page, but at least the links are there now.

Enjoy!  And I should be back over the weekend.
