I’m being lazy today, so I’m linking to an actual published author’s post rather than write much myself. This one isn’t about writing, per se, although the writing in the post is incredibly good. To the point that it made me care deeply about a cat who had just died. And I hate cats. (Sorry, all of you cat lovers out there. It is what it is. Although, since reading this post, I admit I may be a little more less averse to them than I was before.) (And when I say the writing is incredibly good, I have to admit to not making any sort of grammatical, technical analysis of the post. I just know it worked for me.)
If nothing else, read the beginning of the post where he talks about his theory of the life sausage. And if you haven’t thought about it before, think about it now. And carry it around in the back of your head for the rest of your life. If there’s one goal I have in my writing (that unpublished drivel that no one has seen yet, but hopefully will someday) it’s to make people think about their lives. And part of thinking about your life is plotting out your life sausage.
And with that sentence I never thought I’d write…Enjoy!
It was a very sweet story, very interesting about the sausage as well.
