If I want to be able to pay the bills this month I need to actually devote a little time to my real job (you know, the one that gives me money when I do things for them, as opposed to this writing thing, which does not). So, today I’m being lazy and posting a link to a successful, published author’s post that I bookmarked a while ago.
Let me just quote a small snippet: “I was emailing with someone yesterday and mentioned that it was eleven years from the time I workshopped my first story (summer, 1990) to the time I made my first sale (spring, 2001).”
It’s a good read. Puts it in perspective. Being an author is HARD WORK. Enjoy!
